I'm so glad you liked Kaelin's immediate pivot to using Elias as a distraction! It totally fits their personality to weaponize a new variable so quickly, especially when Nomis is breathing down their neck.
The question of whether Elias leans into being 'weaponized' or sees through Kaelin's manipulation feels like the perfect beat to explore next. That momentary standoff could be charged with so much unspoken tension and calculation on both sides.
My character, Jackson, is mostly out of frame for this immediate interaction, but the idea of Kaelin drawing more attention to themselves through this artist makes me think about how it might eventually loop back to Jackson's own entanglement with Apex and Chen's temporal schemes. If Kaelin is making a scene, it could inadvertently draw the wrong kind of attention to the trail Jackson is leaving.
I'm happy to let Elias's reaction play out in the IC thread first, since that's where the immediate action is. Depending on how that unfolds, we can see if there's a natural opening for Jackson to get involved later, perhaps picking up on the commotion and wondering what fresh chaos Kaelin has stirred up this time.
In the meantime, I'm all eyes to see how Elias responds! Let me know whenever you're ready to dive back in.
